Works In Progress

I have been writing a lot, but none of it can really be shared here yet. Currently, I am in the midst of penning two patterns for release, as well as continuing to create lesson plans for my Artist in Residency. A little sneak peek timeline of release for upcoming events:

Releasing two patterns:

1- Woven Trellis Table Linens Bundle, a collection of four patterns with unlimited possibilities using both precuts and scrap friendly;

Woven Trellis Table Runner from the bundle is a great project to feature a favorite print or go completely scrappy.

2- Stars and Straps Quilt Pattern, a pattern in four sizes perfect for a red,white and blue quilt or Christmas prints. The pattern tester for this pattern will also be my quarter 3 charity quilt, with donation proceeds going to a national veterans non-profit. I will likely also donate a portion of the sales from the pattern itself to the same charity.

Stars and Straps in progress. These are the strap blocks.

Gearing up for the holidays: Should we do a special sale? Yes, of course! Make sure you are signed up for the Inspiration is Everywhere Newsletter to get special sale notifications and coupons throughout the holiday season.

Gallery sales: If you love to shop in person, visit the Perry County Council of the Arts Gallery on the Square in Newport, PA, USA for a small sampling of my handmade quilts and soft goods through January 2020.

New Year Plans:

I have a bunch of exciting things planned for 2020:

1- Writing more quilt and fiber art patterns! 2020 will be full of new patterns, funky art quilt processes and some mixed media on quilts!

2- Building my YouTube channel by creating more process videos and tutorials. My son began AV club this year and has really gotten into making his own videos, so I really hope he will help me with this project.

3- Beginning to get into the classroom and teach via the PCCA Artist in Residence program. I will be sure to share more about this process as it develops.

Thank you for continuing to read this humble blog each Friday. I sincerely appreciate your support and enthusiasm for my work. Kindly help me grow and improve my art by liking, subscribing and sharing my content! It takes a lot of time to create not only the pieces I sell, but also all that goes into the sharing of the process and I can't do it alone. Support my work by shopping my collection of Fiber Arts, Modern Quilts and Soft Goods at La Rue de Fleurs.

Have an inspired week, Janice
